City Night Line

On the City Night Line, have an overnight
experience like no other

The City Night Line overnight train allows you to make the most of your time during your European holiday. You’ll sleep in complete comfort aboard this night train—which links Switzerland and Germany with many of the surrounding countries as well as each other (including domestic German overnight trains). Wind your way by train from Munich to Amsterdam, or from Berlin to Zurich, or from Munich to Rome.

Accommodations on this night train include deluxe compartments, economy sleepers, couchettes for four or six passengers, and reclining seats.

Deluxe sleeper single and double accommodations are spacious and fully equipped with beds, private bathrooms and showers, table and chairs, towel warmers, mirrored closets, telephones for crew assistance, and panoramic windows with Venetian blinds.

Economy sleeper single or double compartments include side windows with Venetian blinds, slightly smaller beds than deluxe compartments, washbasins, mirrored closets, and bathrooms at the end of the carriage.

Couchettes include a quilt and a reading lamp a side window and a curtain.

On some trains, reclining seats are equipped with individually controlled reading lights and seating/sleeping area at a higher level than the center aisle. Blankets and neck cushions are available.
